Method
Crust Preparation
- Crush the graham crackers into fine crumbs and combine with melted butter until well mixed.
- Line a 9-inch springform pan with parchment paper and arrange Kit Kat bars around the inner edge.
- Press the graham cracker mixture firmly into the bottom of the pan.
Filling Preparation
- Chill the mixing bowl for 10 minutes, then whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- In a separate bowl, blend softened cream cheese until smooth, then add confectioners’ sugar and mix well.
- Gently fold in the whipped cream until fully incorporated.
- Spoon the filling over the crust, smoothing the top. Chill in the fridge for 5 hours.
Ganache Preparation
- Heat heavy cream until hot but not boiling, pour over dark chocolate chips, and let sit for a minute.
- Stir until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
Decorating and Serving
- Spread ganache over the top of the cheesecake and sprinkle with chopped Kit Kat pieces.
- Chill for an additional 2 hours before slicing and serving.
Notes
For a crunchier crust, toast the graham cracker crumbs before mixing with butter. Adding vanilla extract to the cream cheese can enhance flavor. Feel free to substitute Kit Kat with other chocolates or candies for a unique twist.
