Ingredients
  

For the truffles
  • 36-42 cookies golden Oreo cookies
  • 6 ounces cream cheese (room temperature) Room temperature for smooth mixing
  • 20 drops pink food coloring (divided) 10 drops for the mixture, remaining for decorating
For coating
  • 16 ounces vanilla candy coating Melted for dipping
  • favorite valentine sprinkles For decorating

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place Oreo cookies in a food processor or smash in a sealed bag to make fine crumbs.
  2. In a mixer, combine Oreo cookie crumbs with softened cream cheese and 10 drops of food coloring. Mix thoroughly.
  3. Roll the mixture into 1 1/4 inch balls and place on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper.
  4. Freeze the balls while preparing the candy coating.
Coating
  1. Microwave the vanilla candy coating in 20 second bursts until liquid, stirring each time.
  2. Dip each truffle in the coating, drizzle off excess, and place back on the parchment paper.
  3. Sprinkle with valentine sprinkles while the coating is still soft.
  4. Refrigerate to set the coating for at least 15 minutes.

Notes

Serve truffles at room temperature for a soft center. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 1 month.
