Preparation
- Place Oreo cookies in a food processor or smash in a sealed bag to make fine crumbs.
- In a mixer, combine Oreo cookie crumbs with softened cream cheese and 10 drops of food coloring. Mix thoroughly.
- Roll the mixture into 1 1/4 inch balls and place on a cookie sheet covered with parchment paper.
- Freeze the balls while preparing the candy coating.
Coating
- Microwave the vanilla candy coating in 20 second bursts until liquid, stirring each time.
- Dip each truffle in the coating, drizzle off excess, and place back on the parchment paper.
- Sprinkle with valentine sprinkles while the coating is still soft.
- Refrigerate to set the coating for at least 15 minutes.
Notes
Serve truffles at room temperature for a soft center. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, or freeze for up to 1 month.
