  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
Coloring and Decorations

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  4. Beat in the eggs and vanilla, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually fold in the flour mixture until just combined.
  6. Divide the dough into three equal parts and color each with food coloring.
Shaping and Baking
  1. Roll each colored dough into a log and lightly flatten them.
  2. Layer the logs and gently swirl them together.
  3. Slice the log into rounds and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Sprinkle with optional decorations, if desired.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
  6. Allow the cookies to cool before serving.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week. Consider using parchment paper between layers.
