Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter, softened Make sure your butter is at room temperature for the best creaminess in your dough.
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk Can be substituted with evaporated milk and sugar in a pinch.
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar Dust on cookies after cooling for a snowy touch.
Optional Ingredients
  • 1 cup chocolate chips Feel free to mix in if desired.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
  2. Gradually mix in the sweetened condensed milk, beating for another 2 minutes until blended.
  3. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and mix for another 1-2 minutes.
  4. Gently fold in the flour and baking powder until just incorporated.
  5. Portion the dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 320°F (160°C) and bake for 12 minutes.
  2. Let the cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  3. Once cooled, dust with confectioners' sugar.

Notes

These cookies are best served with coffee or milk. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
