Preparation
- In a bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk until it bubbles.
- Add the condensed milk, eggs, butter, and salt to the yeast mixture and stir until well combined.
- Gradually add in the wheat flour, mixing until the dough is soft and does not stick to your hands.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 50 minutes until doubled in size.
Shaping
- After rising, pinch off small portions of dough and roll them into balls.
- Place the buns in a greased and floured baking pan and let them rest for another 30 minutes.
- Brush the tops with a mixture of yogurt and milk.
Baking
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Bake the buns for 25 to 30 minutes until they are golden brown.
- Drizzle with condensed milk and sprinkle grated coconut on top before serving.
Notes
Buns are best enjoyed fresh from the oven. To store leftovers, allow to cool completely and place in an airtight container. They can be stored at room temperature for a couple of days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
