Method
Preparation of Base
- In a saucepan, combine 375 ml of cold water and the granulated sweetener. Heat gently while whisking until the sweetener dissolves and the water is warm.
- In a heatproof jug, add 125 ml of hot water and sprinkle the gelatine over it. Whisk until completely dissolved.
- Combine the gelatine mixture with the sweetened water and stir until well mixed. Let cool slightly.
Flavoring and Mixing
- Divide the mixture into four bowls. Add different flavorings and food coloring to each bowl according to your preference.
- Whisk each bowl vigorously until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Pour the mixtures into a lined dish and refrigerate until set.
Serving
- Once set, cut the marshmallows into squares or desired shapes, using a knife dipped in warm water for clean cuts.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Dust with powdered sweetener to prevent sticking.
