Ingredients
  

Truffle Base
  • 20 whole Golden Oreos with filling
  • 5 whole Golden Oreos (10 halves total without filling)
  • 1 8 oz. package cream cheese (softened at room temperature)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Coating
  • 2 cups white chocolate or melting chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • to taste Festive sprinkles For decoration

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large food processor, blend the Golden Oreos until they reach a sand-like consistency.
  3. Add the softened cream cheese and vanilla extract, pulsating until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Alternatively, crush cookies by hand and mix in a large bowl using a wooden spoon or electric hand mixer.
Forming Truffles
  1. Using a small cookie scoop, form even orbs of the mixture and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  2. Chill the truffles in the freezer for 20 minutes until firm.
Coating
  1. In a microwavable bowl, combine coconut oil and white chocolate, heating in intervals of 30 seconds and stirring until melted.
  2. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate and place back on the parchment-lined sheet.
  3. Decorate the truffles with festive sprinkles.
  4. Return to the freezer for another 10 minutes to harden the coating.

Notes

Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days. They can be frozen for up to one month; just thaw in the refrigerator before serving.
