Ingredients
  

Frosting Base
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened Soften to room temperature, not melted.
  • 0.5 teaspoon strawberry extract Add more if a more pronounced flavor is desired.
  • 1 pinch pinch kosher salt
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar Add gradually to avoid clouds and achieve the perfect texture.
  • 1 jar strawberry marshmallow creme (7.5 ounces) Gently fold in to maintain airy texture.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl using a handheld mixer, beat the softened butter on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  2. Mix in the strawberry extract and salt.
  3. Add the confectioners sugar 0.5 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Once all the sugar is added, beat on high for 2-3 minutes until smooth and fluffy.
  5. Use a spatula to gently fold in the strawberry marshmallow creme until fully combined and airy.

Notes

Store leftover frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Bring to room temperature and stir gently before using.
