  • 1 cup Water For dampening the loaf
Sourdough Bread Pudding Ingredients
  • 3 cups Stale sourdough Torn into chunks
  • 4 large Eggs For custard mixture
  • 2 cups Milk Whole or any milk of choice
  • 1 cup Sugar Adjust to taste
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla extract For flavor
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon For flavor
For Homemade Croutons
  • 3 cups Stale sourdough bread Cut into cubes
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil For tossing
  • 1 tsp Salt To taste
  • 1 tsp Pepper To taste
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder Optional seasoning

Method
 

Reviving Sourdough Bread
  1. Lightly dampen the loaf by running it under the tap for a few seconds.
  2. Bake the loaf in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5–10 minutes.
  3. Enjoy your fresh, warm bread.
Making Sourdough Bread Pudding
  1. Tear the stale sourdough into chunks.
  2. Whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  3. Pour the custard over the bread chunks and let soak for at least 10 minutes.
  4. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35–40 minutes until the top is golden and the custard is set.
Making Homemade Croutons
  1. Cube the stale sourdough bread.
  2. Toss cubes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until golden and crispy.

Notes
