  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt Omit if using salted butter.

Preparation
  1. Place the softened butter in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Mix in the powdered sugar until it resembles a fluffy cloud.
  3. Gradually add in the all-purpose flour and salt, swirling until a dough forms.
  4. Shape the dough into a log or press it into a cookie sheet.
  5. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the chilled dough into rounds or cut shapes from the sheet.
  3. Arrange the cookies on a baking tray.
  4. Bake for about 12-15 minutes or until golden around the edges.
  5. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. They can also be frozen for up to three months. Experiment with flavored extracts or add-ins like nuts or lemon zest for variations.
