Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a pie pan.

- In a separate large bowl, beat the softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until creamy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, blending until smooth.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Press the dough into the prepared pie pan evenly.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the edges begin to set.
Topping
- Once removed from the oven, let it cool slightly.
- Spread caramel sauce over the crust.
- Sprinkle shredded coconut and chocolate chips on top.
- Drizzle more caramel sauce if desired.
- Allow the pie to cool completely before slicing.
