Preparation
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt together.
- In another bowl, combine the warmed milk, melted butter, eggs, and honey. Stir well.
- Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl and cover it with a cloth. Let it rise for 1 hour until it doubles in size.
Baking
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the risen dough and divide it into balls. Shape each ball and place them in a greased baking dish.
- Cover them again and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Brush the tops with melted butter and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Serving
- For the honey butter, mix softened butter with honey and a pinch of salt. Serve with warm rolls.
Notes
Make sure to knead the dough enough for it to become smooth and elastic. If you want softer rolls, cover them with a clean towel while they cool after baking. Feel free to add herbs or cheese for additional flavor.
