Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 ¼ teaspoons) You can use active dry yeast as an alternative.
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk, warmed Make sure the milk is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast.
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • as needed Additional melted butter for brushing
Honey Butter
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • a pinch salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt together.
  2. In another bowl, combine the warmed milk, melted butter, eggs, and honey. Stir well.
  3. Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in an oiled bowl and cover it with a cloth. Let it rise for 1 hour until it doubles in size.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Punch down the risen dough and divide it into balls. Shape each ball and place them in a greased baking dish.
  3. Cover them again and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  4. Brush the tops with melted butter and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Serving
  1. For the honey butter, mix softened butter with honey and a pinch of salt. Serve with warm rolls.

Notes

Make sure to knead the dough enough for it to become smooth and elastic. If you want softer rolls, cover them with a clean towel while they cool after baking. Feel free to add herbs or cheese for additional flavor.
