  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter Can be substituted with vegan butter for a vegan option.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves Extra thyme for garnish is recommended.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for drizzling Use enough to coat the mushrooms.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the sliced mushrooms on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
Roasting
  1. Roast the mushrooms in the oven for about 20-25 minutes until they reach a golden brown.
Browned Butter Mixture
  1. Meanwhile, in a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat, allowing it to brown slightly.
  2. Add the minced garlic and fresh thyme to the browned butter, letting them cook for an additional minute.
Combining
  1. Once the mushrooms are perfectly roasted, toss them with the browned butter mixture.
  2. Serve warm as a side dish or appetizer.

Notes

Ensure mushrooms are well spaced on the baking sheet for optimal roasting. Can add balsamic vinegar or Parmesan cheese for different flavors. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for about 3 days.
