Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup Fresh purslane leaves You can use dried purslane if that's what you have.
  • 1-2 tablespoons Shea butter Deeply hydrating.
  • 1-2 tablespoons Coconut oil Lightweight and nourishing.
  • 1-2 tablespoons Jojoba oil Mimics the skin’s natural oils.
Natural Preservatives and Additives
  • few drops Vitamin E oil Preserves the cream.
  • 3-5 drops Essential oils (optional, e.g., lavender, tea tree) For fragrance and extra benefits.

Method
 

Preparation of Purslane Extract
  1. Wash the fresh purslane leaves thoroughly under running water.
  2. Blend the leaves with a small amount of water or steep them in hot water for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Strain the mixture to leave you with a nutrient-rich liquid.
Choosing and Melting Base Ingredients
  1. Measure 1–2 tablespoons of shea butter and an equal amount of coconut oil or jojoba oil.
  2. Melt the ingredients gently over a double boiler on low heat and stir until fully melted.
  3. Remove from heat and allow to cool for a few minutes.
Mixing and Emulsifying
  1. Slowly add the purslane extract to your melted base, stirring continuously.
  2. Use a hand blender or whisk to emulsify the mixture.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool completely and thicken as you blend.
Adding Preservatives and Fragrance
  1. Add in a few drops of vitamin E oil and essential oils for fragrance.
Storing the Cream
  1. Transfer the cream into a clean, airtight glass container.
  2. Label the container with the name and preparation date.
  3. Store in a cool, dry place or refrigerate.

Notes

Use clean utensils to scoop out the cream to maintain hygiene. Customize further with your favorite essential oils.
