  • 1 15.25-ounce box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar Can be reduced for less sweetness.
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted Make sure to drizzle evenly.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Pour the crushed pineapple and its juice into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the pineapple layer.
  4. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the cake mix.
  5. Drizzle the melted butter over the top, covering as much of the dry mix as possible.
Baking
  1. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and garnish with a maraschino cherry. Can also add toasted coconut for extra flavor.
