Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Dough
  • 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
Egg Wash
  • 1 egg beaten For egg wash

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  4. At the wide end of each triangle, place about 1 tablespoon of the pecan mixture.
  5. Roll the dough from the wide end to the point, sealing in the filling.
  6. Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Best served warm. Pairs well with vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce. Can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days, or frozen for longer storage.
