Ingredients
  

For the Crust
  • 1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
For the Filling
  • 1 14-ounce can sweetened condensed milk
  • 0.5 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 each Zest of 1 orange Freshly grated
  • 2 cups heavy cream, cold Chilled before whipping
  • Orange food coloring (optional) For a brighter color
For Garnish
  • Whipped cream, for garnish (optional)
  • Orange slices, for garnish (optional)
  • Orange zest, for garnish (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter until mixed well.
  2. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Refrigerate while preparing the filling.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, freshly squeezed orange juice, and orange zest until well blended.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the orange mixture until smooth and fully incorporated. Optionally, add orange food coloring for a brighter color.
Freezing
  1. Pour the orange cream mixture into the chilled graham cracker crust, spreading it evenly.
  2. Cover with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and freeze for at least 6 hours, or overnight, until firm.
Serving
  1. Allow the pie to sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving to soften.
  2. Garnish with whipped cream, orange slices, and a sprinkle of orange zest just before serving.

Notes

This pie is best enjoyed chilled. Store any leftovers tightly covered in the freezer for up to a couple of weeks.
