Preparation
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter until mixed well.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Refrigerate while preparing the filling.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, freshly squeezed orange juice, and orange zest until well blended.
- In a separate bowl, whip cold heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the orange mixture until smooth and fully incorporated. Optionally, add orange food coloring for a brighter color.
Freezing
- Pour the orange cream mixture into the chilled graham cracker crust, spreading it evenly.
- Cover with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and freeze for at least 6 hours, or overnight, until firm.
Serving
- Allow the pie to sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving to soften.
- Garnish with whipped cream, orange slices, and a sprinkle of orange zest just before serving.
Notes
This pie is best enjoyed chilled. Store any leftovers tightly covered in the freezer for up to a couple of weeks.
