Ingredients
  

For the crust
  • 2 cups crushed chocolate sandwich cookies Use Oreos or similar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
For the cream cheese layer
  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups whipped topping Like Cool Whip
For the pudding layer
  • 1 cup chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk
For the topping
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chocolate syrup

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, combine crushed chocolate sandwich cookies and melted butter. Mix until well coated.
  2. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Cream Cheese Layer
  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat together softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  2. Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping and spread evenly over the cookie crust.
Pudding Layer
  1. In another bowl, whisk together chocolate pudding mix and milk until thickened.
  2. Pour the pudding over the cream cheese layer and spread gently.
Topping
  1. Spread the remaining whipped topping over the pudding layer.
  2. Drizzle chocolate syrup on top and sprinkle mini chocolate chips.
Chill
  1. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
Serve
  1. Slice into squares and serve chilled, adding extra whipped topping and chocolate syrup if desired.
