Method
Preparing the Filling
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the unsalted butter.
- Add the finely chopped apples, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt.
- Sauté until the apples are tender, about 5-7 minutes.
- Let the apple mixture cool down to room temperature.
Preparing the Dough
- Separate the biscuit dough into individual pieces.
- Flatten each piece of dough into a disc in your palm.
- Spoon some of the cooled apple mixture into the center of each disc and add a caramel candy on top.
- Fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges tightly.
- Roll them into balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
- Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool briefly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce. For storage, place leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
