Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- In a larger bowl, cream together the softened butter and white sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, followed by the vanilla and almond extracts.
- Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until the dough comes together.
Baking
- Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls and roll in sugar.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheets, 1 inch apart.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly golden.
- Let cool on wire racks.
Notes
These cookies are perfect with milk or tea and can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze them for up to three months.
