Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding, cake mix, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until fluffy, then blend in the pudding mixture.
Assembly
- Unroll pie crusts and cut them into squares, then cut each square in half to make rectangles.
- Spoon filling into the center of each rectangle, fold over and seal the edges with a fork.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water; brush over the tops of each pie.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 13-15 minutes until golden brown.
- For air fryer method, cook two pies at 350°F for 10 minutes, repeating until all are baked.
Glazing
- Whisk together powdered sugar and milk to create a glaze; drizzle over cooled pies.
- Optional: sprinkle with Christmas sprinkles.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Best enjoyed fresh but can be kept for a few days.
