Ingredients
  

For the Marshmallow Cocoa Mugs
  • 12 pieces Regular sized marshmallows
  • 12 pieces Cookies (sugar cookies, chocolate chip, or Fudge Striped) Use your preferred cookie type.
  • 1 cup Chocolate melts For dipping the marshmallows.
  • 12 pieces Mini candy canes These will be used for the mug handles.
  • 1 cup Mini dehydrated marshmallows Find these in festive sprinkle mixes at Walmart.
  • 1 cup Assorted Christmas sprinkles To decorate and add color.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place a cookie onto a sheet of parchment or wax paper.
  2. Melt chocolate melts in a microwave-safe dish for one minute, then stir. Heat for another 30 seconds until smooth.
  3. Prepare mini candy canes by chopping the straight stick from the crook. Use the curved part as a handle for the marshmallow.
Assembly
  1. Hold the candy cane handle and dip the marshmallow in chocolate, coating the bottom and top only.
  2. Place the dipped marshmallow onto the cookie base and insert the straight part of the candy cane into the chocolate at an angle.
  3. Add mini dehydrated marshmallows into the warm chocolate on top and use a toothpick dipped in chocolate to secure any candy decorations.
  4. For the snowmen hats, cover a marshmallow in chocolate and set it atop an Oreo cookie, then decorate with sprinkles.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for about three days. You can use different types of sprinkles for added variety, and flavored chocolates or cookies can also be used for different experiences.
