Ingredients

Base Ingredients
  • 250 g scotch finger biscuits Can substitute with other firm tea biscuits
  • 8 Weet-Bix Can replace with crushed cereal if needed
Filling Ingredients
  • 395 g condensed milk Essential for the gooey texture
  • 6 pieces Mars bars, chopped Chop fine for quick melting
  • 400 g milk chocolate, chopped Can substitute with dark chocolate for a less sweet topping

Method

Preparation
  1. Line the base of a 3cm deep, 16cm x 26cm slice pan with baking paper, allowing the paper to extend 3cm over the long sides.
  2. Place the biscuits and Weet-Bix in a food processor and process until fine breadcrumbs form. Transfer to a medium bowl.
Filling and Assembly
  1. Place the condensed milk, chopped Mars bars, and half of the chopped chocolate in a saucepan. Melt over medium-low heat, stirring often, for 3 minutes or until smooth and combined.
  2. Pour the chocolate mixture over the Weet-Bix mixture and stir well to combine.
  3. Press the mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  4. Place the remaining chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave uncovered on medium, stirring halfway, for 1 minute or until melted and smooth.
  5. Pour the melted chocolate over the slice and smooth the top.
Chilling
  1. Place in the fridge overnight to set.
Serving
  1. Remove the slice from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  2. Use a hot knife to cut into squares to serve.

Notes

For best texture, allow each square to warm slightly at room temperature before serving. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
