For the Brownies
  • 1.5 cups 1 1/2 cups salted butter, melted
  • 3 cups 3 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 0.5 teaspoon 1/2 teaspoon salt
For the Frosting
  • 6 tablespoons 6 tablespoons salted butter, melted
  • 6 tablespoons 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons 2 tablespoons corn syrup
  • 0.5 cups 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 cups 4 cups powdered sugar

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9x13-inch baking dish with parchment paper, spritzing it with cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix together the melted butter, sugar, and cocoa powder until smooth. Let it sit to cool for 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla to the cooled mixture and mix until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt, then combine with the wet ingredients. Mix until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, using a toothpick to check for moist crumbs.
  6. Once baked, cool on a wire rack.
Frosting
  1. Whisk together melted butter, cocoa powder, and corn syrup until fully combined.
  2. Add milk and powdered sugar, whisking until thick. Spread over cooled brownies.
  3. Let the frosting cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, refrigerate or freeze the brownies.
