  • 3.9 ounces instant chocolate pudding
For the peanut butter layer

  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 0.5 cup creamy peanut butter
For the topping
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip
  • 0.5 cup milk chocolate chips Optional for garnish.
  • 0.5 cup peanut butter chips Optional for garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray an 8x8-inch square baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed peanut butter sandwich cookies and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
Making the Layers

  2. Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the creamy peanut butter and powdered sugar, mixing until fully incorporated. Spread this layer over the chocolate layer.
  3. Top with Cool Whip, then sprinkle with milk chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and reserved crushed cookies.
Chilling and Serving
  1. Chill for at least 2 hours before cutting into squares.
  2. To serve, cut into squares and optionally garnish with extra chocolate and peanut butter chips.
  3. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or fresh fruit, if desired.

Notes

For a more intense peanut buttery experience, swirl in extra peanut butter on top before chilling. Feel free to experiment with different cookie types for the crust.
