Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack, sliced jalapenos, and garlic powder until smooth.
- Roll out the puff pastry to 1/4 inch thickness and cut it into 2-inch wide strips.
- Place a generous amount of the cheese and jalapeno filling on one half of each strip, fold over, seal the edges, and twist to create spirals.
- Arrange the twists on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with egg wash.
Baking
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
- Cool briefly before serving warm with dipping sauces.
Notes
Store cooled twists in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To refresh, reheat in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 6–8 minutes to restore flakiness.
