  • 1 cup dark brown sugar Provides sweetness and caramelization.
  • 1 cup honey The main sweetener for the glaze.

  • 1/4 cup dijon mustard Gives a tangy complement to sweet flavors.
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon Warm spice to enhance flavor.
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg A fragrant addition.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a shallow roasting pan, lay out the orange slices and pour in the orange juice.
  3. Place the roasting rack in the pan and put the ham on top.
Glaze Preparation
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, honey, orange marmalade, and salt.
  2. Stir until mixed, then let it simmer for about 4 minutes.
Baking
  1. Pour half of the glaze over the ham and bake for 50 minutes.
  2. After 50 minutes, pour the remaining glaze over the ham and bake for another 20 minutes.
  3. Use a thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C).
Finishing Touches
  1. Remove the ham from the oven and tent with foil, letting it rest for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Carve the ham and serve with the remaining glaze on the side.

Notes

Allow the ham to reach room temperature before baking for even cooking. Consider adding a splash of bourbon or apple cider to the glaze for a unique twist!
