Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with foil for easier cleanup.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, olive oil, pepper, salt, and smoked paprika until well combined.
- Place the chicken drumsticks in a large bowl or a resealable bag, pour the marinade over them, and coat thoroughly.
- Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Cooking
- Arrange the marinated drumsticks on the lined baking sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes, turning them halfway through.
- Let the drumsticks rest for 5 minutes before serving, optionally sprinkle with fresh parsley.
Notes
For a bit of heat, add a teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the marinade. Resting time after baking ensures juicy and tender chicken. Boneless chicken thighs can be used for quicker cooking.
