  • 500 grams Flour 000
  • 190 ml Milk Warm
  • 100 grams Butter Softened
  • 3 medium Eggs Room temperature
  • 90 grams Sugar
  • 8 grams Powdered yeast
  • 200 grams Chocolate chips or candied fruits Your choice of filling
  • As needed Orange zest
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • As needed Butter for greasing

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine flour with powdered yeast and mix gently.
  2. Add sugar and softened butter, blending until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs until frothy.
  4. Pour the beaten eggs and warm milk into the flour mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Add a pinch of salt and mix until a cohesive dough forms.
  6. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead until smooth and slightly less sticky.
  7. Incorporate orange zest and chocolate chips/candied fruits into the dough.
  8. Place the dough in a floured bowl, cover, and let it rise for two hours, folding once after one hour.
  9. Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a greased cardboard mold.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
  2. Bake the panettone for 35 minutes until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Slice thick pieces of panettone, serving with butter or accompanied by coffee or spiced tea.

For best results, ensure ingredients are at room temperature. Consider exploring different fillings or adding spices for variations.
