  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon Add nutmeg or cardamom for variation.
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup Nut butter (almond, peanut, cashew, tahini, or sunflower seed) Sunflower seed butter can be used for a nut-free option.
  • 1/3 cup Maple syrup Honey or agave syrup can be substituted.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Blend whole oats in a high-speed blender or food processor until finely ground into oat flour.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine oat flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Add nut butter and maple syrup to the dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
  5. Roll the dough out between two sheets of parchment paper to approximately 1/8-inch thickness.
  6. Score the dough into cracker-sized rectangles using a knife or pizza cutter.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  2. Allow the crackers to cool completely before breaking them along the score lines.

Notes

Store crackers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For deeper flavor, you can toast the oats before grinding.
