Preparation
- Crush a full package of Oreo cookies in a food processor or a zip bag with a rolling pin until fine crumbs.
- Add softened cream cheese to the crumbs and mix until you get a thick, even dough.
- Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch wide, and place them on a parchment lined sheet.
- Chill the balls in the fridge for 20 to 25 minutes or in the freezer for 10 minutes until firm.
Coating
- Melt green candy melts in a microwave safe bowl in 20 to 30 second bursts, stirring after each burst.
- If the candy melts seem thick, stir in 1 teaspoon of coconut oil for a silky consistency.
- Dip each chilled ball using a fork or truffle tool, tap off excess coating, and set on parchment.
- Add a red heart sprinkle on top while the coating is still wet.
Setting
- Let the truffles set at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 10 minutes to finish firming.
Notes
These truffles can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days or frozen in a freezer bag for up to 2 months.
