Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 8×8 or 9×9-inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper or lightly greasing it.
- In a large mixing bowl, melt the butter and allow it to cool slightly for about 5 minutes.
- Add the brown sugar to the cooled butter and whisk until smooth, then mix in the maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cinnamon, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula or wooden spoon to avoid overmixing.
- Fold in any optional add-ins like chopped nuts or white chocolate chips.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.
- Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Serve slightly warm for the best gooey texture. Pair with black tea, cold cream, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days; refrigerate for up to a week.
