Method
Preparation
- Blend the blueberries into a vibrant puree using a blender.
- Cook the blueberry puree in a small saucepan over medium heat for 5-6 minutes until it thickens.
- Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper and lightly grease it.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar.
- Add in the eggs, vanilla extract, and blueberry puree. Whisk until well combined.
- In another bowl, combine the sifted flour and sea salt.
- Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.
Baking
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 20-25 minutes.
- Check doneness with a toothpick; it should come out clean.
Glazing
- While brownies cool, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
- Once cooled, cut brownies into pieces and drizzle or dip glaze over the top.
Notes
For a richer flavor, fold in additional fresh blueberries. Use high-quality chocolate for best results, and avoid overbaking for that fudgy texture.
