Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 15 pieces Rice Paper Wrappers
  • 5 cups Fruits cut into matchsticks Use a variety like apples, pears, mangoes.
  • 5 pieces Strawberries cut into slices Fresh and ripe strawberries work best.
  • 1/3 cup Hot Water Keep shallow and warm, not boiling.

Method

Preparation
  1. Slice the strawberries and cut the remaining fruits into matchsticks.
  2. Pour the hot water into a plate.
  3. Place one rice paper wrapper into the hot water for 10 seconds, ensuring it gets wet.
  4. Place the wet wrapper on a plate or cutting board.
  5. In the middle of the wrapper, place several slices of fruit and add matchstick fruit on top.
  6. Fold one corner of the rice paper over the fruit, tuck in the sides, and continue rolling.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
Serving Suggestions
  1. Serve these on a large platter lined with a clean kitchen towel or a pretty vintage plate.
  2. Offer small bowls of kid-friendly dips like honey-yogurt drizzle, a tiny cup of melted chocolate, or light citrus yogurt.
  3. Sprinkle a few mint leaves or powdered sugar for a special touch.
Storage
  1. Place rolls in a single layer on a plate or tray and cover them tightly with plastic wrap or a damp tea towel.
  2. Store in the fridge for up to 24 hours but best eaten the same day.
  3. If stacking them, separate layers with parchment paper.

Notes

Keep the hot water shallow and warm, not boiling. Don’t soak the wrapper too long; a quick 10 seconds keeps it pliable. Use firmer fruits cut into matchsticks and softer fruits as slices. If little ones are helping, pre-soak wrappers and let them fill and roll.
