  • 2 pieces bananas Ripe and peeled
  • 1 piece apple Peeled and chopped
  • 1 piece pear Peeled and chopped
  • 1 handful red berries Fresh or frozen
Custard Mixture
  • 2 pieces eggs Beaten
  • 100 ml liquid cream Use a creamier option for best results
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla sugar Enhances flavor
  • 1 tablespoon honey Optional, for added sweetness
Toppings
  • to taste none Butter For greasing the dish
  • to taste none Grated almonds or grated coconut Optional, for topping

Method
 

Preparation and Preheating
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Peel the bananas, apple, and pear, and chop them into whimsical pieces.
  3. If using frozen red berries, thaw them quickly.
  4. Grease a gratin dish with butter.
Assembly
  1. Artfully arrange the chopped fruits in the greased dish.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat together the eggs, liquid cream, and vanilla sugar. If using, drizzle in the honey.
  3. Pour the mixture over the arranged fruits.
  4. Sprinkle grated almonds or coconut on top for added texture.
Baking
  1. Bake the dish for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  2. Allow the gratin to sit briefly before serving.

Notes
