Preparation
- Bake the garlic bread according to package instructions and keep the oven heated.
- Cook the cheesesteak meat in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir Worcestershire sauce and seasonings into the cooked meat mixture.
- In a separate skillet, heat olive oil and cook the onion and green bell pepper until tender.
- Open the baked garlic bread, spread half of the provolone cheese on the inside.
- Layer the seasoned beef, followed by the onions and peppers, then top with the remaining cheese.
Baking
- Return the loaf to the oven and bake for about 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Slice and serve while hot.
Notes
Cool completely, wrap tightly in foil or place in an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 350°F oven wrapped in foil for 10–12 minutes. For longer storage, freeze portions for up to 2 months.
