French Garlic Philly Cheesesteak Loaf

Ingredients
  

For the loaf
  • 1 loaf Ready-to-bake Frozen French garlic bread Can substitute with homemade garlic bread.
  • 12 ounces Sliced or shredded Philly cheesesteak meat
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups Shredded Provolone cheese Freshly shredded melts better than pre-shredded.
Vegetables
  • 1 each Green bell pepper, roughly chopped
  • 1 medium Onion, roughly chopped
  • to taste Seasonings (garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper)
  • as needed Olive oil for cooking vegetables

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Bake the garlic bread according to package instructions and keep the oven heated.
  2. Cook the cheesesteak meat in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir Worcestershire sauce and seasonings into the cooked meat mixture.
  4. In a separate skillet, heat olive oil and cook the onion and green bell pepper until tender.
  5. Open the baked garlic bread, spread half of the provolone cheese on the inside.
  6. Layer the seasoned beef, followed by the onions and peppers, then top with the remaining cheese.
Baking
  1. Return the loaf to the oven and bake for about 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  2. Slice and serve while hot.

Notes

Cool completely, wrap tightly in foil or place in an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in a 350°F oven wrapped in foil for 10–12 minutes. For longer storage, freeze portions for up to 2 months.
