Preparation
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine water, sugar, and vegetable oil. Bring to a boil.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Pour the boiling mixture into the bowl and stir until a dough forms.
- Let the dough cool slightly, then form small balls and roll them into shapes resembling churros.
Cooking
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil.
- Place churro bites in the basket, making sure they’re not touching.
- Air fry for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
Coating
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Once churro bites are done, immediately roll them in the sugar-cinnamon mixture.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Leftovers keep best in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Re-crisp them in the air fryer for 2–3 minutes at 350°F (175°C) before rolling again in the cinnamon sugar. Avoid refrigerating, as it can make them tough.
