Preparation
- Prepare a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
Cooking
- In a large pot, combine all the ingredients over medium-high heat and stir gently but consistently.
- Monitor the candy thermometer, aiming for a temperature of 235-240°F, which usually takes about 10 minutes.
- Once the right temperature is reached, remove the pot from heat and vigorously stir the mixture until it thickens and becomes cloudy, which should take about 2-5 minutes.
- While still warm, use a cookie scoop to spoon the mixture into each cupcake liner, ensuring the bottoms are well covered.
- Allow the pralines to cool completely until they firm up.
- Once cooled, gently peel away the cupcake liners before serving.
Notes
They can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week. Best enjoyed with coffee or sweet tea, and they make lovely gifts.
