Ingredients
  

For the cream layer
  • 1.5 cup heavy whipping cream Ensure it's chilled for best results.
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar Adjust to taste.
  • 2 tsp matcha powder For the cream layer.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Enhances flavor.
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese At room temperature.
For the ladyfingers
  • 0.5 cup hot water Used for dipping.
  • 2 tsp matcha powder For the dipping mixture.
  • 12 pieces gluten-free ladyfingers Substitutes like sponge cake can be used.
  • 2 tsp matcha powder For dusting the top before serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream on medium speed until it thickens.
  2. Add the granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and 2 tsp of matcha powder, and continue to beat until stiff peaks form (about 4 to 5 minutes).
  3. Gently fold in the mascarpone cheese until smoothly combined. Set aside.
  4. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the hot water and 2 tsp of matcha powder until smooth.
Layering
  1. Dip each ladyfinger into the matcha mixture quickly, ensuring not to soak them.
  2. Arrange the dipped ladyfingers in a single layer in the bottom of an 8x8 inch dish.
  3. Spread half of the whipped cream mixture over the ladyfingers and smooth it out.
  4. Add another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the rest of the whipped cream mixture.
  5. Dust the top with matcha powder using a fine mesh strainer.
Chilling and Serving
  1. Chill the tiramisu in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  2. Just before serving, dust with additional matcha powder and cut into squares.

Notes

For a tropical twist, infuse the whipped cream with coconut milk. Adjust sweetness according to taste and consider adding cocoa powder for a chocolate matcha flavor.
