- In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and dulce de leche until completely mixed.
- In a shallow bowl, pour your chosen liquid—milk, coffee, or a blend.
Assembly
- Dip each cookie quickly into the soaking liquid for about a second on each side.
- In an 8-inch square baking dish, arrange the first layer of dipped cookies.
- Spread the creamy filling evenly over the cookie layer.
- Repeat with layers of dipped cookies and creamy filling to create about five layers.
- Finish with a layer of cookies on top.
Chill
- Cover and let it chill in the fridge for at least 6 hours or overnight.
Finishing
- Unmold the chocotorta, spread reserved cream on top, and sprinkle with chocolate shavings if desired.
- Slice and serve cold.
Notes
Store leftovers in the refrigerator, covered tightly, for up to three days. Ensure cream cheese is softened for easier mixing.
