Ingredients

Filling and coating
  • 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling Store-bought or homemade
  • 4 tbsp melted butter For brushing
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon powder
Tortillas
  • 6 medium flour tortillas Warm to prevent cracking when rolling

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, stir together the granulated sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
  3. Warm the flour tortillas in the microwave for 10–15 seconds or wrap in a clean kitchen towel to soften.
  4. Spoon about 2–3 tablespoons of apple pie filling along one edge of each tortilla, leaving some space at the ends. Avoid overstuffing.
  5. Roll each tortilla tightly into a taquito, tucking the ends under if necessary.
  6. Brush each rolled tortilla with melted butter to achieve a golden finish.
  7. Roll the buttered taquitos in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
Cooking
  1. Place the taquitos seam side down in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between each.
  2. Cook at 375°F for 6–8 minutes or until deep golden and crisp, flipping halfway through.
  3. Remove carefully and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
