Preparation
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, stir together the granulated sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
- Warm the flour tortillas in the microwave for 10–15 seconds or wrap in a clean kitchen towel to soften.
- Spoon about 2–3 tablespoons of apple pie filling along one edge of each tortilla, leaving some space at the ends. Avoid overstuffing.
- Roll each tortilla tightly into a taquito, tucking the ends under if necessary.
- Brush each rolled tortilla with melted butter to achieve a golden finish.
- Roll the buttered taquitos in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
Cooking
- Place the taquitos seam side down in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between each.
- Cook at 375°F for 6–8 minutes or until deep golden and crisp, flipping halfway through.
- Remove carefully and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce. They can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or frozen for longer storage.
