  • ½ cup brown sugar both light and dark brown sugar work
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mix the softened butter with the brown sugar using a sturdy spoon until creamy.
  3. Gradually add in the all-purpose flour and stir until no dry pockets remain.
  4. Roll the dough into balls about 2 inches in diameter and place on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  5. Gently press down each cookie with the palm of your hand to flatten slightly.
Baking
  1. Bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes until golden around the edges.
  2. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes
