Preparation
  1. In a bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until soft and fluffy.
  2. Add the egg and vanilla extract, whisking until well combined.
  3. Gradually fold in the sifted flour until a uniform and soft dough forms.
  4. If the dough is too firm, add a splash of milk to soften it.
  5. Transfer the dough to a pastry bag with a star tip, or roll into cylinders and slice.
  6. Arrange dollops of dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space for expansion.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
  3. Allow cookies to cool on a wire rack before storing.
