Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 large large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp) Use firm apples for best texture.
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred) Panko gives a crunchier texture.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (or substitute)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Cooking spray (olive or coconut) For frying the apples.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Prep the apples by slicing them into wedges or fries.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients (flour, breadcrumbs, cinnamon, sugar, and salt) in a bowl.
  3. Coat the apple slices with the dry mixture.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
  2. Arrange the coated apple slices in the air fryer basket.
  3. Spray the apple fries lightly with cooking spray.
  4. Cook the apple fries in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  5. Remove from air fryer and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with sweet dip or yogurt. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in air fryer or oven for best texture.
