Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cups flour (Bob’s Red Mill 1-to-1 or all-purpose)
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • cup granulated sugar
Wet Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • ¼ cup milk of choice, room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Fritters
  • 1 large apple, peeled and diced Use a firm apple like Honeycrisp or Granny Smith.
Glaze
  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar, sifted 2–3 tablespoons milk of choice added for glaze.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C); line or lightly oil basket.
  2. Whisk dry ingredients together in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the wet ingredients together.
  4. Fold the wet ingredients into the dry until just combined; gently fold in the diced apple.
Cooking
  1. Scoop mounds of the batter into the air fryer basket; lightly mist with oil.
  2. Air fry for 7–9 minutes, flipping at 5 minutes, until golden and springy.
  3. Whisk glaze to a ribbon consistency; cool fritters briefly, then drizzle glaze over.
  4. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Serve warm with coffee or milk; add extra cinnamon or butter for a delightful touch. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
