  • 2 large large firm apples (like Fuji or Honeycrisp) Choose dense, perfumed varieties for best texture.
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch Helps create a light and crisp coating.
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar For sweetness and caramelization.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Adds warmth and flavor.
  • 1 pinch salt Enhances flavor.
  • 1 spray oil spray Use a light spray to prevent sticking.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the apples and cut them into fry shapes.
  2. In a bowl, mix the sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch, and salt.
  3. Toss the apple slices in the coating mixture until they are evenly covered.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Arrange the coated apple slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  3. Air fry for about 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time.
  4. Remove when they are golden brown, and enjoy them while hot.
Serving Suggestions
  1. Serve immediately, still warm, with a small ramekin of vanilla Greek yogurt, thick crème fraîche, or a drizzle of honey.
  2. For indulgence, pair with warm salted caramel or a mascarpone-caramel dip.
  3. Finish with a sprinkle of flaky sea salt or extra cinnamon.

Notes

These apple fries are best enjoyed fresh from the air fryer. If storing, cool completely, and keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Re-crisp in the air fryer at 320°F (160°C) for 3–4 minutes.
