Ingredients
  

For the custard
  • 3 tablespoons custard powder
  • 4 tablespoons milk (for mixing custard powder) Use cold or room temperature milk.
  • 2 cups milk Used for cooking the custard.
  • 1/4 cup sugar Adjust sweetness as desired.
  • 2 tablespoons almonds, roughly chopped For added texture.
  • 2 tablespoons cashews, roughly chopped For added texture.
  • 2 tablespoons raisins
For the fruit mix
  • 1 cup mango pulp Freshly pureed mangoes recommended.
  • 1/2 cup mango, chopped
  • 1/4 cup banana, sliced
  • 1/4 cup pomegranate
  • 1/4 cup apples, chopped

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, mix the custard powder with 4 tablespoons of cold or room temperature milk until it transforms into a smooth paste.
  2. In a pan, pour in the remaining 2 cups of milk and bring it to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally.
  3. Once the milk reaches a rolling boil, add the custard mixture, stirring continuously for 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly.
Mixing
  1. Incorporate sugar, chopped almonds, cashews, and raisins into the thickened custard.
  2. Allow the mixture to simmer gently until the sugar dissolves completely.
  3. Once cooled, stir in the mango pulp and then fold in the chopped mangoes, sliced bananas, apples, and pomegranate.
Serving
  1. Serve the custard in bowls or dessert glasses, garnishing with extra nuts or a slice of mango.

Notes

This custard can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. Cover it properly to maintain its texture. Consider using freshly squeezed mango juice for extra sweetness.
