Ingredients
  

For the mango cream
  • 4 pieces ripe mangoes Ensure they are perfectly ripe for sweetness.
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 package cream cheese Use low-fat for a lighter version.
  • 3 pieces lemons Use juice of these lemons.
  • 1 splash vanilla Optional for added richness.
For the layers
  • 1 package Maria cookies These create the base layers.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Peel the mangoes and cut the pulp into pieces, reserving a few slices for decoration.
  2. In a blender, combine the mango pieces, condensed milk, evaporated milk, cream cheese, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth.
Assembly
  1. In a refractory dish, layer Maria cookies at the bottom.
  2. Spread a layer of mango cream over the cookies.
  3. Repeat layering, ending with a layer of mango cream on top.
  4. Decorate with reserved mango slices and optional crushed cookies or lemon zest.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 4 days. Adding lemon zest to the cream enhances the flavor.
