Ingredients
  

For the Crust
  • 200 g Maria biscuits Crushed for the crust.
  • 100 g melted butter Used to bind the biscuits.
For the Cheesecake Filling
  • 500 g cream cheese Make sure it's at room temperature for smooth mixing.
  • 150 g sugar To sweeten the filling.
  • 200 ml heavy cream Provides richness to the cheesecake.
  • 3 large eggs Added one at a time.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For flavor enhancement.
  • 1 pinch salt To balance the sweetness.
  • 2 pieces Sobaos For serving alongside the cheesecake.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Crush the Maria biscuits in a bowl until they form fine crumbs.
  3. Combine the crushed biscuits with the melted butter and mix well.
  4. Press the biscuit mixture into the bottom of a mold to form the crust.
Cheesecake Filling
  1. In another bowl, cream the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth.
  2. Add the heavy cream and blend until combined.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  5. Pour the filling over the crust in the mold.
Baking
  1. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the center is almost set.
  2. Let the cheesecake cool in the pan before refrigerating for at least 4 hours.
Serving
  1. Slice the cheesecake into wedges and serve each with a soft Sobao.
  2. Garnish with powdered sugar or fruit compote if desired.

Notes

For a smoother texture, allow cream cheese to reach room temperature before use. Don't rush the chilling process for the best results.
