  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 15 to 20 pieces Oreo cookies, crushed Crush until fine crumbs form.
  • 1 cup vanilla or chocolate protein powder
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons milk Add until you reach a pliable dough.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Optional
  • 1 pinch salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Crush the Oreos by placing them in a zip top bag and crushing with a rolling pin until fine crumbs form. Leave a few small bits for texture.
  2. Soften the cream cheese to room temperature or microwave in 10 second bursts until soft.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and Oreo crumbs, stirring until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the protein powder, mixing after each addition.
  5. If the mixture is dry, add milk a tablespoon at a time until you reach a pliable dough.
  6. Stir in vanilla extract, salt, and any optional mix ins.
  7. Scoop about one tablespoon of the mixture and roll into balls.
  8. Place on a parchment lined tray.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour, or freeze for 30 minutes.
  10. Optionally, roll each ball in extra crushed Oreos, cocoa powder, or shredded coconut before serving.

Notes

Keep refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 5 days. For longer preservation, freeze on a tray until firm, then transfer to a sealed freezer bag for up to 2 months. Thaw in the refrigerator for 30–45 minutes before serving.
